February 2018: I LOVE YOU!

Welcome February! After the frenzy of the holidays and the month of January, it was time to go back to some kind of more regulated learning! As Zoila's been working on her writing, Antonio is focusing on his reading. Here, he is making sentences with words he already knows.

Kids have started a small business, "The Little Boutique". You can find out more here, in this blog Emilie is writing.
They (I help) create cards, crafts and jewelry special occasions like Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day...and they sell them. If you're interested in their little business, let us know and we'll send you more info!
The February sales went to their Polaroid Instant Camara fund!

Emilie and Zoila are selling their Valentine's Day products by the Capoeira Studio during First Friday in Santa Fe Art District, Denver.

Their items include Valentine's Day cards, stickers, plushies, friendship bracelets and necklaces and rainbow looms bracelets.

This winter has been rather mild this year. It has barely snowed during the months of November, December and January. February has been a little wetter with a few snow falls. Kids enjoy them every time!

We try to go the Denver Science Museum once a month. The kids really love that place and actually the more they go, the more they find it full of surprises and excitement. I always enjoy the view of Denver and the Rocky Mountains from one of their relax room!

We don't have a car, which means I usually go grocery shopping by bus or bike. I usually go with Galo to Trader Joe's when the kids are at their weekly homeschool program. That is my bike with bags after a trip to the store. I think I am carrying over 50 lbs of food! And up the hills!
